The Bridge and Blount Island

More visions of the Dames Point Bridge and the port below.   This is the first painting off the easel for 2023.

Dames Point

This is kind of a fanciful mash up of images and memories of this bridge into Jacksonville that we drive over at least a couple of times a month.  It never fails to be interesting.

Palace Saloon

Fernandina Beach is home to Florida's oldest operating tavern, The Palace Saloon.  I don't usually paint a lot of local scenes but something about the light on it that day I walked by and took this photo just caught my eye.

Memories of Savannah

When we were in Savannah a few years ago I really liked this sign and took a few photos thinking I might do something with it in the future.  I pulled it out and finally got around to painting it and hope someday to have a cocktail there.

Another Amaryllis from the Garden

I love the way I can grow Amaryllis outside in the yard with little to no effort here.  This pinkish colored one popped up this year and bloomed spectacularly.
