Mangroves

When thinking of the everglades here in Florida most people think of the endless sea of grass and swamp that is most often depicted.  I think of the labyrinth of mangrove creeks running off the bay behind the keys.   The water is an everchanging reflection of the sun's path through the mangrove forest and the roots below the surface serve as a nursery for an amazing assortment of aquatic life.  This print is from one of many photos taken years ago on a slow ride through the mangrove creeks behind Key Largo.
